Park Hill House Tours

Park Hill hosts a neighborhood House Tour every few years. We anticipate the next tour to be in 2012, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the formation of The Park Hill Residents' Association.  Four to five home owners and families graciously volunteer to open their doors and allow the general public to tour their home and experience the beauty of some of the finest homes in Park Hill.

The event is a culmination of months of planning and effort on the part of neighborhood volunteers. Proceeds go the Yonkers Land Conservancy which is dedicated to preserving the open spaces within our neighborhood through conservation easements.

Usually occuring on the second Sunday in May, recent house tours have seen as many as 600 - 700 attendees. The House Tour is self-guided with a program booklet available at the host area describing the details of the houses being showcased. Guided walking tours of the neighborhood as well as presentations of the historic development of Park Hill and Yonkers also occur throughout the day.

With a food court featuring specialties from our local restaurants, a fun-filled raffle, and booths from local organizations, the Park Hill House Tour is a great way to learn about our neighborhood, meet some great people and enjoy the history and beauty of the place we call home.
